This upgrade gives you more media support, a cooler interface, alphabetized files (this is want ive been looking for), crisper font, removal of the play preview thumb to increase file viewability (another nice touch).

This upgrade gives you more media support, a cooler interface, alphabetized files (this is want ive been looking for), crisper font, removal of the play preview thumb to increase file viewability (another nice touch).
Instructions:
- Copy TVD20091106.bin.img to a usb drive or sd card.
- Turn on Nbox and point to where you put your file (sd card, usb)
- Choose file from the menu
- Highlight your file and press ok and then ok again to begin update.
Your Nbox will then go back to default settings so you'll probably have to change the language (first selection under settings) and the ouput type on your remote back to what you had it (AV, VGA, YPbPr).

Thanks, this worked, all I wanted the update for is to have all the files in order instead of having episodes 5 - 10 before episodes 1 - 4.. This sorted that out!

hey I need some help. I downloaded and was installing this update. It was at 32% but the power cable got mistakenly yanked out by my brother. Now the NBOX has no menu and everything I have tried does not work. Any ideas on how can I get it to work again? email me any help: donr4luv@gmail.com Thanks
ReplyDeleteWow, I've just done it and it solved a problem that puzzled me for a long time!
ReplyDeleteBasically, random movies were not showing on the NBOX. I would unplug the hard drive, connect it to a Windows machine, and the files were there; connected to a Linux machine, and the files were there; but connected it back to the NBOX and... they were not showing!
This firmware upgrade fixed that and also some inconsistencies with alphabetic ordering.
I was hesitant because the firmware file was dated 2009 and I bought the NBOX in 2011 but it fixed all problems so I recommend it :-)
I just Updated it and it fixes the bugs of the order of the files to show in true alpha-numeric order, the thing is...files under the mp4 and mkv formats still doesn't play...anyone?
ReplyDeletei just want what mode lare your nbox, mine is nbox n51, any update for this model?, in my default firmware they are so many video files that i cant play, even if that file is written in the box... thanks
